About the numbers above

Epitalon (epithalon, AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on epithalamin, a pineal extract studied in Russia. It is not an approved medicine and is sold for research use.

Reported protocols are unusual: 5 to 10 mg a day for 10 to 20 days, repeated once or twice a year, though lower daily doses are also reported. A 10 mg vial with 1 mL of water is 10 mg/mL, so 5 mg is 0.5 mL, or 50 units, and a 10 mg vial is two doses. At these doses a 50 mg vial is the practical size for a full course.

If the draw feels awkward to read, change the water rather than the dose. The dose stays the same; only the mark moves.

How long it stays in you

Not well characterised in humans. This site only draws a decay curve where a half-life is actually documented in humans, so there is none here. Treat any precise figure you see elsewhere for Epitalon with suspicion.

Common questions

How many units is 5 mg of Epitalon?
It depends entirely on how much water you added. In a 10 mg vial reconstituted with 1 mL, the concentration is 10 mg/mL, so 5 mg is 0.5 mL, which is 50 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. In the same vial with 0.5 mL of water it is 25 units, and with 1.5 mL it is 75 units.
How much bacteriostatic water for a 10 mg Epitalon vial?
1 mL is the usual choice. It gives 10 mg/mL, which puts the commonly reported range of 1 mg to 10 mg between roughly 10 and 100 units. Aim for a draw between about 10 and 50 units, where the barrel is easiest to read, and add or remove water to get there.
How many doses are in a 10 mg vial?
Divide 10 by your dose. At 5 mg that is 2 doses, which at once daily is 2 days.
How many units is 5 mg of epitalon?
In a 10 mg vial with 1 mL of water, 50 units on a U-100 syringe. In a 50 mg vial with 5 mL, also 50 units.
