NAD+ is a coenzyme, not a peptide, but it is sold by the same vendors as a lyophilised powder for subcutaneous injection and the arithmetic is identical. It is not an approved injectable medicine. Flushing, nausea and injection-site pain are widely reported, and the pain is dose- and concentration-dependent.
A 500 mg vial with 2 mL of water is 250 mg/mL, so 50 mg is 0.2 mL, or 20 units. Because the site pain tracks concentration, some people reconstitute with more water and accept a larger draw. Commonly reported doses are 50 to 100 mg, daily or a few times a week, often starting lower.

Cleared within minutes to hours; the injected molecule itself is not what persists. This site only draws a decay curve where a half-life is actually documented in humans, so there is none here. Treat any precise figure you see elsewhere for NAD+ with suspicion.

- It depends entirely on how much water you added. In a 500 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL, the concentration is 250 mg/mL, so 50 mg is 0.2 mL, which is 20 units on a U-100 insulin syringe. In the same vial with 1 mL of water it is 10 units, and with 3 mL it is 30 units.
- How much bacteriostatic water for a 500 mg NAD+ vial?
- 2 mL is the usual choice. It gives 250 mg/mL, which puts the commonly reported range of 25 mg to 200 mg between roughly 10 and 80 units. Aim for a draw between about 10 and 50 units, where the barrel is easiest to read, and add or remove water to get there.
- How many doses are in a 500 mg vial?
- Divide 500 by your dose. At 50 mg that is 10 doses, which at once daily is 10 days.
- How many units is 100 mg of NAD+?
- In a 500 mg vial with 2 mL of water, 40 units on a U-100 syringe. In a 1,000 mg vial with 5 mL, 50 units.
