How to read it
Retatrutide is investigational and has no licensed titration schedule, because it has never been approved. The ladder below is the pattern most commonly reported: start at 2 mg weekly and step up 2 mg every four weeks. Some people step every six or eight weeks instead, and plenty stop well before 12 mg.
The point of a slow ladder is tolerability. Stepping faster than your side effects allow is the single most common reason people abandon a GLP-1 entirely.

- How long does a full retatrutide titration take?
- Stepping 2 mg every four weeks from 2 mg to 12 mg is six stages, which is 24 weeks. Slower steps of six weeks make it 36 weeks.
- How many vials do I need for a full titration?
- At a 10 mg vial, stepping 2 mg every four weeks to 12 mg, the whole ladder uses about 16.8 vials. The early stages are cheap and the top of the ladder is where the cost sits.
- Do I have to reach 12 mg?
- No. The ladder is a ceiling, not a target. Many reported protocols hold at 4, 6 or 8 mg indefinitely.
